Rehearsals are being held from 7pm to 9pm every Monday evening in the Salvation Army Main Hall, 575 Princess Street Dunedin. New members are very welcome!
The 1943 Choir Picture
We are a Male Choir that was started by a returned soldier, Jimmy McNish at the end of 1919. For many years the choir numbered around 60. Since Covid played havoc, our numbers have dropped to between 30 and 40 members.
Over the years the choir has played an important and valued role in Dunedin City's cultural activities and the commemorative celebrations of significant historical events.
We sing a wide range of music from light classical music to “Welsh male voice choir” arrangements", hymns, musicals, traditional nonsense songs and anything that we like.
News & Upcoming Events:
Our end of year concert is going to be in Knox Church on Friday 27th November 2026 - starting at 7pm.
Before then on Tuesday, 8th December, Wednesday 9th December and Friday 11th December some choir members will be singing Christmas carols for Enliven ) Presbyterian Support Services.
The choir will also sing Christmas carols for the Monticello home at a date still to be confirmed.

Summer Concert at Knox Church. Friday 27th November, 7pm.
Christmas Carol singing at Enliven (Presbyterian Support Services) in South Dunedin. Tuesday 8th Dec., Wednesday 9the Dec. and Friday 11th Dec. all at 11am.
