 WELCOME TO THE DUNEDIN RSA Male Choir Web Pages

Rehearsals are being held from 7pm to 9pm every Monday evening in the Salvation Army Main Hall, 575 Princess Street Dunedin. New members are very welcome!

The 1943 Choir Picture

We are a Male Choir that was started by a returned soldier, Jimmy McNish at the end of 1919. For many years now the choir has numbered around 60, and has played an important and valued role in Dunedin City's cultural activities and the commemorative celebrations of significant historical events.

We sing a wide range of songs from light classical, to 'Welsh Male Voice Choir' arrangements, hymns, musicals, traditional 'nonsense songs' and anything that we like.

News & Upcoming Events:

The Choir had a very successful ANZAC Revue. Several events are being planned for the rest of the year. The choir is now practicing songs for the various events.

Upcoming Events:

  1. The Grange Lifecare Village Sunday 10th August, 3pm: The choir will sing for the residences and their guests popular melodies.

  2. Peace Sunday evening service at Knox Church, Sunday 31st August, 7pm

  3. Passchendaele Service on or around 12th October

  4. Remembrance Concert at Knox Church, Friday 7th November, 7pm
